Claude for Real Estate Agents: How Agents Use It
In our 13 cases that name Claude (as of October 2026), most agents connect it to a tool they already use, such as Follow Up Boss, Canva, their MLS or the browser. Then it does routine work: pulling comps, ranking follow-ups, drafting closing steps. The ChatGPT cases mostly write one piece of text. No agent compares the two on the same job, and most Claude cases have a business tie, often because the person sells training or kits.

How real estate agents use Claude
Claude shows up in every task we track. In most records the agent does not paste text into a chat. Instead, Claude reads or writes inside another tool.
Comps and CMAs
This is the largest group:
- Comps from Chrome. One agent runs Claude as a Chrome extension. It clicks through web pages to find comps and builds comps reports while he does other work (@eduardodurantx).
- Five report skills. A team lead built five report “skills” in Claude Code: a market snapshot, a seller CMA, a buyer CMA, a farming report and an equity report for past clients (@coritessier). The skill reads her MLS through the Chrome extension, or uses a CSV she downloads, and returns a branded PDF (@coritessier).
- A CMA from the phone. In a later caption she says she sent one sentence from her phone, and Claude texted her when the report was ready (@coritessier).
- County records. Another agent had Claude find his leads’ home addresses on the county website and write a CMA with his own comp rule (Jonathan Dickey).

Lead follow-up
William Zhang connected a Claude-based assistant to Follow Up Boss. Each morning it ranks who to call, drafts a text for each lead and adds calendar tasks (William Zhang, 2 cases).
Social posts and newsletters
Carrie Dahle adds Canva as a connector in Claude Cowork:
- Posts. Claude fills a Canva template with her photos and can also write the caption (Carrie Dahle).
- Newsletter. A scheduled task runs on the 1st of each month, gathers newsletter content and pastes it into her Canva email template (Carrie Dahle).
After the contract
- A saved prompt. One agent’s prompt makes a closing checklist, a buyer email and calendar dates (@itsabbieweldon).
- A drafted offer. Another films Claude drafting a purchase offer (@donnagonzalezdestin).
- Email sorting. A team leader used Claude projects to sort transaction email, then moved that work to another tool (Mike Weisman).
Listing descriptions
One agent, on her first day with Claude, wrote a listing description and buyer personas (@staceywalterss). That is one hour of use, not a tested workflow.
Claude vs ChatGPT for realtors: what the cases show
No agent in these records tests Claude and ChatGPT side by side on the same job. So this is not a review of which tool is better. It is a comparison of what agents chose to show.
13 records name Claude and 9 name ChatGPT (a custom GPT counts as ChatGPT). The Claude count includes the team leader who is moving off Claude (Mike Weisman). The ChatGPT count includes one agent who argues against ChatGPT listing copy and one photo warning (@sandyisyouragent; @chriswhartonrealtor).
ChatGPT cases mostly write one text
The agent pastes in facts or a short request and gets back one piece of writing: a listing description, a bio, a market post or a video script (@kalachejackson_realtor; @maddiebennett.realtor; @sandyisyouragent; @kristamashore_; Broker-owner, The List Realty). Two go further:
- Listing marketing. One agent built a custom GPT that turns one listing into seven pieces of marketing (Brad Cohen).
- Business plans. A team leader used a custom GPT to write 15 business plans (Emily Barry).
Even these return text for the agent to use.
Claude cases mostly connect to other tools
Claude reads the MLS, the CRM or a county website, fills a Canva template, or adds dates to a calendar (@eduardodurantx; @coritessier; William Zhang; Carrie Dahle; @itsabbieweldon). Some records use plain Claude with no connection shown (@staceywalterss; @donnagonzalezdestin).
The difference is partly about time
All the Claude records are from 2025–26. The 2023–24 records are ChatGPT.
Tool by period: 2023–24 vs 2025–26 (all real-estate records)
So the cases do not show that Claude writes better or worse than ChatGPT. They show that recent videos about Claude focus on connected work, and older videos about ChatGPT focus on writing.
For the ChatGPT side on its own, see how realtors use ChatGPT.
Claude risks and checks for agents
The more Claude does inside other tools, the more a mistake can reach a client or a price. The agents who say the most about checks are the ones who use it for comps.
- Check every comp. One agent reviews every comp himself because he does not trust the AI 100%. He says a wrong comp could cost him about $30,000 in commission on this deal (@eduardodurantx). The CMA-skill builder says the AI collects the data and the agent still sets the value. She swaps any comp she disagrees with (@coritessier, 2 cases).
- Check your MLS rules. She tells agents to check their MLS rules before they let the Chrome extension read it (@coritessier).
- Check the finished work. Carrie tells viewers to “go check its work” after Claude swaps the images (Carrie Dahle). Her newsletter video does not show a review step before it goes out (Carrie Dahle).
- Watch your own time. A daily report of every missed task “really burned me out”, says William Zhang. He cut it to one main task a day (William Zhang).
Gaps in the records
Several records show no check before output reaches a client: the closing checklist and email, the offer, and the CMA texted from a phone (@itsabbieweldon; @donnagonzalezdestin; @coritessier). The phone tool is a research preview (@coritessier).
One CMA uses the agent’s own comp rule. He says the result is close to what he gets when he comps a hard house by hand (Jonathan Dickey).
Read the conflicts
Most Claude records have a business tie (@staceywalterss; William Zhang, 2 cases; Mike Weisman; Jonathan Dickey; @coritessier, 3 cases). Most of those come from three people who sell AI training, a paid community, a setup service or a CMA kit (William Zhang, 2 cases; Mike Weisman; @coritessier, 3 cases). Their posts describe detailed setups, but they are also sales pitches.
Two ties are weaker:
- A sponsored segment. One video’s second half promotes a blog and website service, likely as a sponsored segment (@staceywalterss).
- A partner group. Another agent built an ad with a group he runs his experiment with, but sells nothing in the video (Jonathan Dickey).
The records with no business tie are short or narrow: Carrie’s Canva posts and newsletter, two short TikTok clips about closing steps and an offer, and one agent’s comps (Carrie Dahle, 2 cases; @itsabbieweldon; @donnagonzalezdestin; @eduardodurantx).
One more signal: Mike Weisman, who runs AI training, is moving his Claude workflows to Grok Bot because separate bots stay in their own lanes (Mike Weisman). Even a heavy user here does not treat Claude as the settled choice.

Questions agents ask
How do realtors use Claude AI?
Mostly by connecting it to a tool they already use. Agents in these cases have it pull comps through the browser, rank leads in Follow Up Boss, fill Canva templates and turn a signed contract into a checklist and calendar dates (@eduardodurantx; @coritessier; William Zhang; Carrie Dahle; @itsabbieweldon).
Which is better for a realtor: ChatGPT or Claude?
The cases cannot say. No agent here tests both on the same job. The pattern is that ChatGPT cases mostly write one piece of text, and Claude cases mostly work inside other tools (@kalachejackson_realtor; @sandyisyouragent; @coritessier; William Zhang).
Can Claude read the MLS?
One team lead says her CMA skill reads her MLS through the Claude Chrome extension, or uses a CSV she downloads if her MLS does not allow it (@coritessier, 2 cases). She tells agents to check their MLS rules first. She sells the skill as a kit.
Is Claude good for real estate brokers and team leaders?
Two team leaders use it, with mixed signals. One built five report skills for her team, but she sells them as a kit (@coritessier). The other is moving his Claude workflows to Grok Bot, and he runs AI training (Mike Weisman).
